Hello there!

I am so happy you stopped by. My name is Lena and I’m a founder of Befithappy, a little blog where I share information on type 2 diabetes, creating healthier habits and fitness. My goal is to give you valuable information and resources you can use to prevent diabetes, live with various aspects of type 2 diabetes, as well as to give you a little bit of motivation in the times when you feel stuck, ready to give up and enter the dreaded procrastination zone.

Type 2 diabetes is a condition that forces those of us diagnosed with it to create healthier habits, lose weight, fight stress and everything else everyone on the planet deals with.

Although this blog is mainly dedicated to various aspects of living with type 2 diabetes I welcome anyone wanting to create healthier habits, who needs a little bit of motivation and struggles with finding time to take care of themselves.  If you are that person I hope you will find my content valuable. I share my experiences and knowledge I acquired over the years and I will be more than happy to give you a push if you need it.

A little bit about me

About Me -Befithappy

I am a single mom of a wonderful little boy who is my world. I have a full-time job and have tons of experience in building international networks and drafting project proposals.

I am also someone living with type 2 diabetes. This condition has forced me to take better care of myself. I had to start a new and learn:

  • how to eat better!
  • how to exercise and
  • how to deal with various aspects of psychological issues which often accompany type 2 diabetes. These include anxiety, depression, anger and increased irritability.

I don’t have all the answers, nor am I educated to provide medical advice. For any medical issues please contact a professional. I am however equipped to share my own tools and experiences in coping with the aspects of diabetes I mention above. Please note that I am always asking my own doctor before trying anything new so please before changing anything in your diet or physical activity check with your doctor.
